Parents:We are currently taking enrollments for our After School
Programs (ASES/ELOP). Early enrollment is suggested as we move into
Spring and Summer. Spots will fill quickly due to swimming and other
special activities.
The difference between ASES and ELOP:
- ASES has a minimum 5 days a week attendance for elementary students, and a minimum 3 days a week attendance for middle school students.
- ASES has a Frontier Transportation Grant (FTG) that allows us to transport students that show a need for the program, directly to their home. (FTG is a need based program with limited spots available, homes must be within our drop off radius, and be accessible by van.)
- ELOP has no attendance requirements. It can be used as a drop in program as needed.
- ELOP has no transportation home and students must be picked up at the Kelso Campus daily before 6 p.m.
Both ASES and ELOP provide:
- A homework hour where students can get assistance in completing their homework assignments.
- We also offer many STEAM projects (Science, Technology, Education, Arts, and Math).
- Special event classes in music, dance, and yoga.
- Outdoor activities such as hiking, swimming, gardening, open and planned sports.
- Holiday special events are offered.
- Supper and a snack are provided daily in both programs.
Upcoming field trips include:
- The Kern River Valley Library on February 14.
- The Kern River Preserve for our annual National Geographic BioBlitz, TBA.
Please pick up an ASES or ELOP application in the main office at either the Fay or Kelso campus.
